THERESA PLUMMER-ANDREWS

Theresa Plummer-Andrews, formerly Head of Acquisitions & Co-Productions for Children's BBC, began her career in theatrical agencies, before joining Portman Productions and progressing into Global Television.

In 1981 she became Overseas Executive at TVS International, responsible for acquiring programming outside the network showings. Eventually she became responsible for searching out and recommending suitable programming for purchase by the Network.

In 1986 she joined the BBC as Executive Producer, Children's Programmes and was extended to Head of Acquisitions and Co-Productions BBC TV's Children's Department. She was responsible for assessing projects which were suitable for transmission on BBC TV and had potential for video, publishing and merchandising. Once a decision was made to invest in a project she then saw the creative development through to the final production. Profits from these ventures were then invested back into production.

Theresa Plummer-Andrews served as Executive Producer on such series as Animals of Farthing Wood, Albert The 5th Musketeer, Noddy, William's Wish Wellington's, Prince Of Atlantis, Bob The Builder, Fireman Sam, Postman Pat 11, Angelmouse and the multi-award winning half hour special The First Snow Of Winter.
